Let me just start off by saying that if I had to choose between working with kids or adults on art projects, I’d totally choose kids. For starters, I found out that when you’re working with kids, they are amazed by just about anything art related. Secondly, they will appreciate anything that the older kid does because they already know that it’s probably going to be ten times better than what they have.
I worked with a class of kids this past week. It was many things, but it was mostly fun. Going in, I thought that I was going to help paint pinball machines on canvases. I thought that was odd, but I wanted the experience. When I walked into the classroom, I realized that we were actually painting different pieces of art onto pinball machines. It was probably the easiest class I’ve ever helped teach. I felt like the master in my own domain. It was amazing, so like any teacher, I took a bunch of pictures of the different kids I worked with.
