Ever wonder how I make bending forms for my steam bending projects? Let me show you. . .
First I place nails apart from each other to be able to bend metal pieces to trace the curve, like the photo below:
After I traced the shape I wanted, I cut it out on the band saw. To get the shape off of the photo below:
Then I took that piece above and nailed it to a normal board:
I also drilled multiple holes for my clamps to go into to pull boards into the form shape. Here is an example of me using it:
