We all know that painting isn’t the easiest thing to do. We see paintings in museums or on the internet and we think – “Man… I wish I could do that.” Well, it’s actually not as hard as it seems. Most of us have painted to some degree, at some point, in our lives but that was most likely with basic grade paints like tempera, watercolor, or acrylic. Although these paints are usable, they probably won’t give you that Picasso painting you’re wanting right off the bat. That’s because there are a lot of things that go into making paintings like that. This video gives a beginner (like yourself) some tips on how to do one of the first things in acrylic painting, blending. Blending is when you take two or more colors and mix them together to give a painting depth. DEPTH IS IMPORTANT! Without depth, your painting is most likely going to look very 2D and, if you’re anything like me, that’s the last thing you want. You might not get it at first, but you gotta keep trying ’cause practice makes perfect!
