A Resource for Film Making

There’s many good resources that cover every step of the filmmaking process; Youtube has a plethera. The channel StudioBinder has helped me a ton with their videos of breaking down certain scenes and informing me about different styles to shoot, edit, or manage the production of films.

What I find unique about this channel compared to some others is that they cover not just tutorials but concepts and organizational methods. I especially like their videos when they break down the reason you feel a certain way, like fear or sadness, when watching a scene.

Some things I’ve learned from this channel are specific shooting and editing techniques like juxtaposition and jumpcuts, camera movements and positioning based on the mood of a scene, and how to storyboard/direct.
